Spécial 'A New Day Has Come'

En février 2002, les membres d'ÉquipeCéline ont participé à un concours exclusif pour gagner la chance d'assister à l'enregistrement de "A New Day Has Come", le spécial télévisé de Céline à Los Angeles. Nous avions demandé aux membres d'ÉquipeCéline de nous décrire ce que la nouvelle chanson de Céline, "A New Day Has Come", signifiait pour eux. Des centaines de soumissions nous sont arrivées, parmi lesquelles nos juges en ont sélectionné 50 et décerné à chacune une paire de billets situés au premier rang.

L'enregistrement de "A New Day Has Come" a eu lieu dimanche, le 3 mars 2002. Céline est montée sur la scène du Kodak Theatre pour donner sa toute première interprétation des chansons de son album ‘A New Day Has Come’, y compris les titres "A New Day Has Come", "I'm Alive", "Have You Ever Been In Love", "At Last", "Ten Days", "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word) ", "Nature Boy" et la chanson espagnole, "Aun Existe Amor". Ses invitées spéciales, Destiny's Child, l'ont rejoint pour interpréter la chanson "Emotion" (du CD 'Survivor' de Destiny's Child), et "When the Wrong One Loves You Right". Céline a aussi chanté des chansons-thèmes de films, telles que "Because You Loved Me" et "My Heart Will Go On", en plus de "Beauty and the Beast" en duo avec Brian McKnight. Ce spécial télévisé a été diffusé à travers le monde en 2002.

1. When the lights dimmed and the curtain began to rise, I could no longer control the emotion that had been welling up inside of me all day long. She was perfect, every song sounded beautiful, and she was so funny as she spoke with the crowd in between songs. The true miracle came after the show was finished. I got to meet her. I thought I would be more emotional, but she has a way of making you feel like you've known her all your life. She is a beautiful person inside, and out, and I will never forget this experience. Thank You Céline.

2. Céline's taping was one of the greatest experiences of my life! My sister and I traveled from Phoenix, AZ. When Céline took the stage, through tears, I had to pinch myself as a reassurance that this was not a dream! My idol of so many years singing at arms reach! The magical evening ended with Céline's autograph! Her music and presence at the taping was something that I will forever cherish! I really feel that this was the greatest moment of my life as a fan. I feel blessed to have been a part of such a special event!

3. My daughter and I had the best night of our lives at Céline's concert! Our front row seats were fabulous and we have not stopped talking about the show to all of our family and friends. The people we met were so nice and Céline was absolutely gorgeous and so great to listen to. She always had something to say and was so personable. She talked as if every fan was her best friend. What a sweetheart!!

I brought a stuffed animal frog to the concert and Céline actually called my daughter up to the stage and she handed it to her. What a thrill. I had tears in my eyes, I was so excited!!!

At the end of the concert, Céline and René both signed a scrapbook that my daughter has been making. They were so sweet and giving of their time to the fans.

Winning those tickets was probably the best thing that has ever happen to me. I still cannot believe that I was actually there and had the most wonderful time of my life! I will never forget the music, the applause, the laughter and the tears of joy. All of us were so thrilled to be there and share in the experience with the best singer and nicest celebrity of all time.

4. "A Brazilian Fan's Dream"
My name is Angelo Bessa and I won the tickets for Céline's Special. It was really difficult to go to the show because I live in Rio (Brazil) and I didn't have even the passport.

I invited a friend from São Paulo and I went there so that we could go together to LA... but my flight delayed a bit and we got to go into different flights. I was just thinking... "Oh My God! I won't see Céline!". But finally we arrived in L.A.

On Sunday afternoon, we got to the Kodak Theatre to get the tickets and I had got the chance of meeting many incredible new friends.

At night, everyone was there and finally Céline came in. She was really wonderful. It was the first time I saw Céline, and the seat was closed to her.

After the taping, everyone went out of the theatre but some few fans, like me, continued there... Céline came back in order to record some other things, and I couldn't believe it. I said I was from Brazil and she let me take a picture with her. And it's not all, I got an autograph on a flag from Brazil that I brought to call her attention.

It was just amazing... I was really really happy... I'm still and will forever be!

5. From the moment I screamed "I won!" I began living a technicolor dream. But it was no dream. I drove more than 500 miles to Los Angeles and actually sat in the second row of the Kodak Theater to welcome Céline Dion's return to the stage. And she sang-fabulous new songs and nostalgic old ones, told personal stories between takes, laughed aloud, even teased her cheering fans. Her voice thrilled us all. Her beautiful costumes took our breath away. But it was her tears of joy and the gift of love given and received that I will always remember. Joelle Yuna-drove 1,000 miles round trip from Santa Rosa, CA to Hollywood for the taping. "But I would have driven to New York and back!"

6. Hi!! It's Amanda, I study Biology in the University of Baja California. When I won the tickets for the show I was so exited that I didn't sleep for 3 days. Going to the show was the greatest experience that I've ever been part of. There are no words to describe the feeling of being so close to an amazing artist and performer like Céline and to hear her incredible voice that makes you feel so much emotions at the same time. I'm so grateful with TeamCeline for making my dream come true. I'll cherish every moment until the end of time!!

7. Dear TeamCéline,

We want to say thank you very much for the wonderful tickets. Observing the taping of Céline's show was fabulous. My husband and I probably had the best seats in the house. We sat right next to Céline when she sang to the couple just behind. I am from Montreal, and moved to California in 1995. Since I am away from my hometown, when I hear Céline singing, it's like I am not alone; we are together in music. The event was wonderful and we really enjoyed seeing Céline, naturally down-to-earth and in touch with her audience.

8. Céline takes me places! It was LA March 3rd. See photo with fans from Ohio and Brazil. Seeing CA relatives after 12 years. My wife and I were treated to some of the best seats in the house, we all welcomed our Voice back. Destiny's Child and Brian McKnight added to our evening. LAX, Hollywood Roosevelt, Hollywood sign, the mall, Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, Universal City... Céline's band at the next table drinking beer. My VA home was freezing @ 15o F... CA sunny and warm. Can't wait to see the special. What a fabulous weekend.

9. WOW! I don't think our feet touched the ground that day. While waiting for the tickets we met the most wonderful people. Céline truly has the best fans. We got fantastic seats, and like that wasn't enough, when my twin sister and I sat down to have dinner the whole band sat down right next to us. They were terrific, so down to earth. They signed my Céline book and we took photos. Céline is not only a terrific lady but has wonderful people behind her. I guarantee her new mother song to be a number one hit. We can't thank you enough.

10.Thanks again for the opportunity to attend Céline's taping last weekend! Being a fellow French-Canadian and fan for the past 12 years, it was such a thrill to be able to see her once again in concert! And the seating!! (I was second row center! I couldn't have been more pleased!)

Céline was so genuine and gracious and made us all feel like we were at her home, making us laugh and keeping us entertained! It truly was an evening I'll remember for years to come!
