2007 was a year of groundbreaking achievements for Celine! Not only was it the year that marked the finale of her legendary Las Vegas show, it was also the year when Celine released two multi-platinum albums, ‘Taking Chances’ and ‘D’elles,’ as well as a certified triple Diamond DVD, ‘Celine Dion: Live in Las Vegas’ plus she announced her 2008/2009 Taking Chances World Tour! Celine made many television appearances including Oprah, Larry King Live, An Audience with Celine Dion, Wetten Dass…? and Star Academy to name a few and she also launched a special limited edition fragrance, ‘Spring in Paris’. In March, we asked TeamCeline members to tell us about their favourite Celine moment of 2007. The TeamCeline members who sent us the following submissions will receive an autographed photograph of Celine!

My favorite moment of 2007 was Celine's appearance on The View in November 2007. Her strength as a performer shines through when Whoopi Goldberg asks her if she thought her Las Vegas show wasn't going to work when she started it. Celine answered by stating that she wasn't scared, and rather believed in herself, in her cast and in the show to do well. She finished by expressing her support and confidence in Bette Midler taking her place in Las Vegas. It's always a pleasure to see Celine's professionalism, confidence and warmth during interviews and this one stuck out in my mind especially in 2007. The best moment of that interview was when she states that her favorite song is her first song, the one her mother wrote. She continues to emphasize the importance of sentimental value of the song to her because her mother wrote it. Celine's values on family make her the extraordinary person she is. She is truly an all-around remarkable role model, artist and human being.

Wow, there are so many favourite moments of 2007 and it is so difficult to choose between them - announcing of the world tour (amazing highlight for fans to know she would be in our country), the release of her successful and stunning Taking Chances CD and the release of her Live in Las Vegas DVD. However, I think the highlight for 2007 would be the release of her Live in Las Vegas DVD. Not only did this recognize the end of a tremendously successful chapter in Celine's life, it also gave all her fans around the world the opportunity to experience the show. So many fans who could not attend the show in Las Vegas can now experience it as close to the "real thing" as you can get. The success of the DVD speaks for itself. The additional segments also give us a chance to experience more of Celine - a true honour for devoted fans like myself. Thank you to Celine for sharing so much of yourself and this experience with us - we love you even more for it! This is definitely a favourite 2007 moment for me.

My very favourite moment of 2007 was 25 February, the 79th Academy Awards. First, to see Celine, René and Celine's mother on the red carpet was very emotional for me. Celine made this serious event so familiar, she outshone everybody and everything there. And in the theatre the performance was also unbelievable; "I Knew I Loved You" is a great song to salute for Ennio Morricone. So the 79th Oscar night was my favourite Celine moment in 2007!

My favorite Celine Dion moment of 2007 was watching Celine record her new English album 'Taking Chances.' As always, it is such a special treat for fans to be able to watch Celine behind the scenes and in her purest form...when she's in the studio recording a song. Her personality, her passion, her talent, her VOICE comes alive and inspires our love for Celine and her music even more. This time we were able to watch a very "matured" Celine who was allowing herself to be more open and free and express the woman that was inside of her. She is truly an inspiration, and seeing her record songs that really touch her, touches us (the fans) even more. Thanks for sharing those moments with us Celine...you're truly the best!

My favourite moment of Celine Dion has got to be when she coached members of the X Factor; judged by Simon Cowell in the UK. Celine really looked to enjoy the experience and it was good to see a different side of her as opposed to another comfy interview. She obviously inspired them all and gave them a lot of help. She also inspired one contestant to sing one of her own songs!

My favorite Celine moment of 2007 happened on November 12, 2007 when Celine was on Oprah. To me, that moment allowed me to see Celine's heart with my own eyes. I have always known that Celine was a special and giving person, but her performance for the girl who lost her dad was a true testament to that. Celine's heart shines through in that performance in a way that I had never seen before. In Celine's eyes, you can see sincerity, a sincerity that is so real; it serves as an affirmation of her genuine concern for others. This, perhaps more than her voice, sets Celine apart from other entertainers. Celine truly cares, and I could feel that connection (even through my TV set) during her performance on Oprah.

Pour moi le moment le plus marquant de cette année 2007 est la finale du concert "A NEW DAY" le 15 décembre, car j'ai eu la chance d'y participer!!!! Ce fût un moment mémorable, j'ai eu le frisson du début à la fin!!!! Que de larmes, c'est le personnel qui a dû nous sortir de la salle, j'ai pu récupérer des pétales de roses (celle qui sont tombées du ciel!!!) Le moment le plus émouvant de la soirée fût quand René et René-Charles sont montés sur la scène pour la rejoindre. Quelle belle photo de famille, ils ont été ovationnés pendant plusieurs minutes. René-Charles a ramassé des pétales de roses pour les donner à sa mère, c'était trop mignon, c'était très touchant aussi quand elle a expliqué pourquoi elle portait cette ficelle blanche autour de son poignet. La maman est aussi radieuse que la chanteuse, c'est dans ces moments là qu'on se rend bien compte qu'elles ne font qu'une en fait!!! J'aimerais tellement revivre ce moment... Mais 2008 risque d'être tout aussi riche en émotions voire plus...

L'année 2007 restera pour moi l'une des plus belles de ma vie. En effet, j'ai eu l'honneur de voir pour la première fois, Céline, sur le plateau de la Star Academy le 2 novembre 2007. Ce soir-là, l'émotion et l'excitation étaient à leur comble. L'ambiance qui régnait sur le plateau avant le commencement de l'émission était magique, notamment grâce à la gentillesse et la générosité de nombreux fans de la plus grande diva du monde. Enfin, le moment tant attendu arriva. Quand je vis Céline apparaître, je ne pus retenir mes larmes. Elle se tenait là, devant moi, à quelques mètres seulement. Mon cœur, lui, s'emballait et battait à plus de 100 à l'heure. La soirée continua et se déroula comme dans le plus merveilleux des rêves. Céline chanta quelques chansons dont "Taking Chances" qui enflamma le public. Je n'oublierai jamais ce moment à la fois intense et incroyable que j'ai vécu. De même, je n'oublierai jamais son regard. Elle était tellement belle. Je l'aime tout simplement.

Le moment le plus marquant de l'année 2007 avec Céline est la sortie de la mosaïque et le spectacle du centenaire de l'hôpital pour enfants Sainte-Justine à Montréal. Ayant moi même une petite fille qui va régulièrement à cet hôpital, j'ai été touchée qu'une artiste internationale de chez-nous ait à cœur les enfants malades. De part sa façon d'être je crois sincèrement que Céline veut faire une différence auprès de nos enfants et je suis fière qu'elle prenne le temps de le faire. Avec son attitude envers son fils René-Charles, on voit que son implication est sincère. Ainsi, mon meilleur moment 2007 est son implication au cours de toute l'année dans le centenaire d'un des plus grands hôpitaux pour enfants, l'Hôpital Sainte-Justine de Montréal. Merci Céline.

Le moment marquant de Céline qui m'a touchée le plus en 2007 est lors de l'émission D'ELLES à TVA. On a pu découvrir ce magnifique album et ses écrivaines. J'ai réalisé à quel point la femme est importante et talentueuse. J'ai été très émue de voir les écrivaines, dont Lise Paillette, Janette Bertrand, Denise Bombardier... écouter leur oeuvre pour la première fois. Céline est une femme généreuse et je trouve formidable qu'elle et René aient donné la chance à d'autres d'écrire pour elle. Toutes ces chansons m'ont touchée, particulièrement "Je cherche l'ombre" celle pour laquelle j'ai versé une larme, à cause des paroles et de la douceur de la voix de Céline. Merci beaucoup.
