2005 was a very big year full of milestones for Celine! In addition to performing in her spectacular Las Vegas show, A New Day…, Celine released a new album, a new biography and two new fragrances. She took part in charity events, performed on television and was interviewed for many TV shows and magazines. Celine’s first French language 'Best Of' album, 'On ne change pas' was originally released in October 2005. That month also marked the release of her highly anticipated biography, ‘Celine Dion: For Keeps.’ In 2005, Celine launched two new fragrances; the award-winning Belong, and the limited edition Memento. In May, we asked TeamCeline members to tell us about their favourite Celine moment of 2005. The TeamCeline members who sent us the following favourite moments will receive a rare black and white autographed photo of Celine! My favourite Celine moment was when she released her new book ‘Celine Dion: For Keeps’. I was absolutely amazed at how much of her personal life she shared with her fans. She is my absolute favourite musical artist. I have been twice to see her and next week I will be there for the third time in the fifth row!!!!!!! The reason she is so special to me is because she is a true person, very real and extremely caring. Most famous people put on a fake facade. She is always 100% real. I believe that my favourite Celine moment of 2005 was when Celine introduced the fragrance Belong. This perfume has become a big part of my life. It smells amazing and it seems to have brought Celine and myself both a lot of luck. I completely agree with the purpose of Belonging to the Moment, and whenever I wear this fragrance, I remember Celine's wise words of always living up to the moment you're in. I wore the perfume the first time I met the man of my dreams in September. Since then, it has become a symbol of our love, and a motto for our lives. My favourite moment was in October 2005 when Celine's book FOR KEEPS was released. Owning this book gives me a special, and very privileged feeling to be able to share such personal and precious times of Celine's amazing life. I will probably never meet Celine in person, but this book is a way of making me feel apart of her family. Truly amazing sensation when reading the book. Thank you Celine for sharing this with us all. I love you. Pour moi, le moment le plus extraordinaire, c'est quand Céline est passée à « L'école des Fans » sur le réseau TVA à Montréal. Quand elle a interprété « Sous le Vent » avec ce petit garçon, c'était vraiment émouvant. Elle est très humaine et sa simplicité est sa plus grande qualité. Merci pour ses merveilleux moments. Le moment qui m'a le plus marqué en 2005 est la venue de Céline à Paris en octobre, je ne l'avais jamais vue en chair et en os. Et là mon rêve s'est réalisé le jour de l'enregistrement du « Hit machine », nous avons eu de l'attente, je n'ai presque rien mangé mais quel plaisir de voir une Céline aussi rayonnante et de plus il y avait une ambiance du tonnerre! Un moment inoubliable pour moi! J'ai hâte de la revoir!!!!! One of my favourite moments of 2005 was when I bought my copy of ‘On ne change pas’ Celine's French best of collection. I had only known a few of Celine's French songs and was amazed at how many songs I hadn’t heard. This is now my favorite Celine Dion album and my all time favorite song is “Quand on n'a que l'amour”. Hearing this album has also inspired me to learn French. Merci Celine, you are a true inspiration. Love, Gary. Pour moi ça été sa venue à Paris ! J'étais allée à Paris pour les enregistrements d'émissions avec Céline, mais la veille je suis allée l'attendre devant son hôtel, et après des heures et des heures d'attende j'ai enfin vu Céline arriver et j'ai pu lui dire que je l'adorais et que moi non plus je ne l'oublie pas, c'est des images qui restent et qui ne s'oublient pas! Des photos, je n'ai pu en faire car je n'avais plus la tête en place. It was the Christmas interview she gave with Janette Bertrand, two women I love so much...She was so sweet, simple, natural and hearing her life story again (I don't get sick of hearing it) brought me right back to my younger years as a "Québécoise" and made me appreciate the nice and unique values we have here in Québec...I wish so much for Céline and Rene another child (a girl) to complete their family happiness! I have a boy and a girl and it's wonderful to be a mommy! I got to see Celine in November of 2005. That would be my favourite moment. What an incredible show it was and she performed like it was her first performance of A New Day... It brought tears to my eyes to her voice. What a wonderful show! So different from when she toured. Mon moment inoubliable de 2005 est le livre: « Céline Dion : Pour toujours... » Un magnifique livre plein de souvenirs de la vie personnelle et de la vie professionnelle de Céline. C'est un vrai chef d'oeuvre, à lire et à relire. Je suis une fan depuis le début de la carrière de Céline et tous les souvenirs de sa vie me touchent beaucoup. Je l'adore.
