June 17, 2005 Grévin In Las Vegas Thanks To Celine Dion
Red Carpet in Las Vegas for the Grévin Museum team. The long-time dream of immortalizing the number one female singer in the world: Céline Dion, has finally come true.
This 100-year-old world-renowned wax museum will be creating two wax statues of Celine Dion, which will be inaugurated simultaneously in France and the United States.
One statue will stand at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas where her show "A New Day..." is performed.
The second will be in the Grevin Museum's theatre in Paris on Boulevard Montmartre.
Céline and René welcomed the French Museum team on May 15 in Las Vegas and all necessary measurements, videos and photos were taken at that time. It will take six months for the sculptor, Claus Velte, and his artistic team at Grévin to create the two wax statues.
The unveiling of the statues is expected to take place in early 2006.
