When Celine was nineteen, she performed at CBS Canada's annual convention at the Esterel, a big hotel in the Laurentides, north of Montreal. Along with her three song showcase, Celine was asked to sing a duet with the star of the convention, Dan Hill. Celine and Dan performed his smash hit "Can't We Try", and they brought the house down with a standing ovation. Their collaboration continued years later, when Celine recorded "Seduces Me" written by Dan Hill and John Sheard on her 1996 release 'Falling Into You'.

On the occasion of Canada Day a new survey asked the nation which famous Canadians, past or present, would they include on their guest list should they be asked to organize the Ultimate Canada Day BBQ. Celine finds herself the 3rd most popular guest according to the survey commissioned by Historica-Dominion Institute, the largest independent organization dedicated to Canadian history, identity and citizenship. She lands behind Terry Fox and Wayne Gretzky, who are 1st and 2nd place respectively.

Celine recorded Eric Carmen's hit ballad, "All By Myself," for her 'Falling Into You' album. Eric Carmen based the song on pieces by Russian classical composer, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and recorded it in 1975 as part of his debut solo album 'Carmen'. "All By Myself" reached the top of the charts in the 70s and continues to receive lots of airplay. Celine's cover brought the song back to the top of the charts all around the world. Her version is also included on 'All The Way...A Decade of Song' and a Spanish rendition is included on 'The Collector's Series Volume One'.
Most Unforgettable Movie Song June 29, 2010
Recently Spinner.ca, a Canadian online music magazine, compiled a list of '77 Most Unforgettable Movie Songs' on which Celine landed the number 8 position with her biggest hit My Heart Will Go On. The theme song to Titanic, one of the highest grossing movies in history earned an Oscar for Best Original Song as well as a Golden Globe for Best Original Song in 1998.

Return of "Touched by an Angel" with Celine June 26, 2010
In 1998, Celine appeared in the TV series "Touched by an Angel" where she played herself. In this episode, she meets a child affected by Cystic Fibrosis. Celine is actively involved in the battle against Cystic Fibrosis. She donated her appearance fee to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for which she is Celebrity Patron. This episode will be broadcast again on the Hallmark channel on June 30th at 8pm (EST). Be sure to catch the episode or remember to set your DVRs!

On this day, in 1993, the movie 'Sleepless in Seattle' was released in American theaters. Celine performed its theme song "When I Fall In Love" with Clive Griffin. This beautiful duet is featured on 'The Colour of My Love' album which was released later that same year.
