Celine Takes Part in "We Are The World" Remake for Haiti! February 11, 2010
As part of the global aid efforts for the people of Haiti, a number of talented artists including Celine joined together to rerecord the 80s hit single written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie, "We Are The World"! This moving new recording will premiere on February 12 during the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies in Vancouver, Canada! From the 83-year-old Tony Bennett to the 15-year-old Justin Bieber, artists from all generations came out to record this song in support of victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

Today is Celine's sister, Liette Dion's birthday. Liette and Celine share a special bond, as Celine was a strong moral support for Liette during her daughter's battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Celine dedicated her song, ''Tellement j'ai d'amour pour toi'' to Liette in honour of her daughter, Karine.

In December of 1999, Celine was named a special ambassador of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). She was the first Canadian to receive the honour. In a ceremony attended by Canada's former Heritage Minister Sheila Copps, and former Culture Minister Agnès Maltais, Celine was praised for remaining true to her roots while enjoying phenomenal success. The Ministers acknowledged Celine's tremendous support of the cystic fibrosis cause and her efforts toward the promotion of peace.

Celine Concert Becomes Part of a Social Experiment February 5, 2010
In 2008 Robyn Okrant set out on an interesting social experiment; one she never suspected would lead her to a Celine Dion concert. The task - to spend a full year living by Oprah's wise words as given every day during her show. In October 2008 Celine made an appearance on The Oprah Show and performed live. Oprah exclaimed to her viewers that they must all, at least once in their lifetime attend a Celine Dion concert. With Celine's Taking Chances World Tour making a stop a few weeks later in Chicago, Robyn accepted her task. She loved Celine's show and was surprised to realize that she knew most of the songs too! Robyn's one-year project has been published in a recently released book entitled "Living Oprah".
On the third night of Celine's Unison Tour, she lost her voice. It was then that she learned how to do conditioning exercises to care for her voice. For the remainder of the tour, on days when she was not performing, Celine would rest her voice completely by not speaking at all. But this never prevented her from communicating via the telephone. She would tap her answers into the mouthpiece. One tap meant yes, two taps meant no.
