Celine's Painted Bowl Auctioned Off for Charity

A bowl, hand painted by Celine was auctioned off last week at the 'Empty Bowls Fundraising Dinner' to benefit Winnipeg Harvest. A total of 63 bowls painted by celebrities were sold during a silent auction that raised over $235,000 for the charity. Celine kindly accepted to paint a bowl for this cause when she performed at the MTS Centre last year as part of her Taking Chances World Tour. The Winnipeg Harvest food bank distributes more than 9.7 million pounds of food to Manitobans every year and also provides other services such as job training, to the underprivileged.

Cystic Fibrosis Documentary to Air on CBC Newsworld

65_Redroses, the critically acclaimed Canadian documentary about a woman with cystic fibrosis, will air on CBC Newsworld's Passionate Eye on November 16, 2009 at 10:00 pm (ET). Don't miss this compelling and incredibly personal journey that follows 23-year-old Eva Markvoort as she awaits a desperately-needed lung transplant.
