Who can give the slightest shades of feeling with her most beautiful songs in the whole world? Who knows impeccable feminine soul? Who can make people happy? For me, everything about her, No doubt after Celine learned to sing In English she captivated the world with her voice and physical beauty, especially enormously after the Titanic but getting to know Celine the woman, the person which I have done and continue to do, elevated her even higher...her beauty inside shines so brightly,,,she is kind, her heart is so pure, she never says anything negative about anyone, she's so positive and uplifting and I've seen many of her interviews, she always says the right thing, she is so gracious. After seeing her live for the first time in Kansas City in 2009 her "Taking Chances" world tour I've seen her 5 times since then...Seeing Celine has helped me in so many ways, to numerous to mention...She is so balanced between her family and us loving fans...I really don't know how she does it all...I'm in total awe of Celine! After seeing her live for the first time in KC I went to St Louis a month later and have seen her new show 4 times, twice in April of last year and twice in August this year...I wish I could see her more but I plan to see her at least once a year as long as I can or until I die...Celine is taking her fans on a unbelievable lifes journey with her and I'm with her until the end...Thanks Celine for just being yourself and all the love and joy you have brought into my life and all of your other millions of fans around the world... you are a special gift from above to the world...

PS Nancy JB I didn't see your message until after I wrote mine...the same thing happened to me I have wanted to see Celine live since 1998 but my depression(losing both parents) had me frozen but all that changed per chance when a friend of mine found me a seat the day of Celines concert, she already had a ticket and she found me one in the same section, same row!!! I know now that I was meant to see Celine...call it Divine intervention or someone saw me struggling but it changed my life...Celine is that powerful...she has captured and captivated my heart like no other artist...ever!!!!!
God gave Celine an instrument( her voice) to reach millions of peoples hearts, to make them better people and no one else can do that like Celine...there is so much more about her that makes her great besides her voice

Celine's voice captivates me

There are so many things about Celine that captivate me!!! To begin with I heard her live in concert in 2008 and I thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever heard in my life. My Mom had just passed away and I was somewhat depressed and couldn't get excited about anything and then I was given concert tickets as a gift. Well, it changed my life!!! Her voice was so incredibly powerful, beautiful and just like an angel from heaven - I couldn't believe what I was hearing... no-one in the World can sing like her!!! I had never heard anyhing like that ever in my life! It changed my life and I bought all of her CDs that I could find, joined the fan club and started browsing youtube for videos of her singing anything at all.

Then, as I read about her and started to get to know much more about her and her life, I realized she is an amazing person who is so kind, thoughtful, funny and entertaining and incredibly talented that we are all so fortunate to know of her!! She is my idol!!! She is an amazing mother of 3 and such a role model. Thank you Celine for all that you are and all that you do!!!

her wonderful voice really helps to captivates me. but mostly, her personality. Celine Dion, for me, is not only the singer (and sometimes dancer, haha), its the one that i'm gonna die trying to be. Hi, I'm new to this board and that question immediately caught my attention...why was I captivated so much by Celine ?

well actually that is a very good question and not an easy one to answer...what captivates me about her the most is her attitude probably more than her music, I honestly have to admit that (although she has a lovely voice). The problem is certainly that you can "judge" celebrities mostly only from the media, you do not really know them in person, but what I have seen from other celebrities so far is that their way of dealing with the media sucks, and I mean almost all of them.

There are so many celebrities - especially in the music industry it seems - who are just posers, who aggressively crave attention through television, who try to provoke the public with their "sexiness" (take Britney Spears). Celine Dion is nothing like that (and has more "natural" sexiness than Britney Spears or Madonna will ever have) and that is what I admire about her the most. Honestly I cannot take other celebrities too seriously because there is always something bad in the background, and be it only that they are taking drugs, and I cannot respect them much in any way.

For Ms. Dion drugs were never an issue, her family is the most important thing to her apart from her music, she is real (in fact more real than other, "normal" people with money that I know about), and kind-hearted, down-to-earth and genuine, cares about people who care about her, in other words...decent. And the celebrity world (the world itself) needs people like that desperately. I have to say that I do have alot of respect for her and the work she's doing, it is very important for me.

At first, I love her just only bcos of her beautiful voice and her songs but each day i get to know her deeper, I love her just the way she is. She has a very very very good personality. i love her i love her♡

In the first place it's the voice and the songs, for sure. When i listened for the first time a song by Celine, i didn't even know the name of the singer. I liked the voice and the song so much, and so i started asking questions about the singer and then i slowly started listening more of Celine's music. I felt like i heard the voice of an angel, singing songs that spoke right to my heart. Of course, when you are a Celine fan many years it's not only the voice. I don't mean that you get used to it. On the contrary, it still amazes me, i still feel what i felt when i listened to her music for the first time years ago. However, a magical voice can't captivate you for a long period. It's also her lifestyle. Not only her voice and songs are one of a kind, but her personality, as well. Celine is not like the majority of the artists we know today. Most of them know no limits and make no distinction between personal and public life. They usually do extreme things to draw attention. Celine never surprises us. We know what to expect from her. No one can't become a part of your life and your heart, if you don't know his/her personality. But how can you really know one's personality, if one day they behave like this and the next day they behave totally different? Celine's stability, makes me feel, when i listen to her music, that i listen to a very close friend of mine, not just a singer with an unbelievably beautiful voice. I don't listen to Mrs Dion, but just Celine.

I think It's everything!!
It's absolutely the voice because it's powerful but soft and unique at the same time!!
It's also the songs because of the great words that each of her song contains that makes you reflect about what she's saying!
The way she sings every song differently: with crescendo when something is about to happen (in open arms she sings softly the first phrases and then when the curtain is about to fall she makes us expect that something is happening!)
The fact that she's not a celebrity like the others, i don't know how to explain this... she doesn't need to be dressed up in shorts and V tops like some others, the others don't have voice so they have to look good to be appreciated, she's beautiful and has a great voice!!!!
