Celine Dion’s New French-Language Album
In Stores on November 5
Montreal, QC (October 1) - Five years after her last French-language album, Celine Dion returns with ‘Sans attendre’, an album filled with pure emotion, evocative lyrics and powerful melodies.
Celine’s friend Jean-Pierre Ferland appears twice on the album. He recorded “Une chance qu’on s’a”, his famous ode to love in duet with Celine and wrote the lyrics for the very moving song “Je n’ai pas besoin d’amour”. For his part, Luc Plamondon, offered Celine an equally wonderful and touching song, “Que toi au monde”.
Several other distinguished artists also joined Celine for duets on ‘Sans attendre’: Johnny Hallyday on “L’amour peut prendre froid” and the late Henri Salvador in a virtual duet titled “Tant de temps”.
Newcomers to Celine’s list of collaborators include Grand Corps Malade, who penned the lyrics for “La mer et l’enfant” and Maxime Le Forestier who wrote the beautiful lyrics for “Moi quand je pleure”.
Jacques Veneruso, a longtime collaborator, wrote “Parler à mon père”, which maintained the number one position for 10 weeks on Quebec and France charts. He also co-produced the album and composed the arrangements for most songs. Another important member of the team is David Gategno who produced and wrote the music for four songs on the album.

the songs are AMAZING, the ones released so far are deeply emotional and plain beautiful, the photo-shoot rocks, Celine looks happy and it is astounding.. The cover a big NO- it looks amateurish and pretentious - although the tree with the stuff is nice, could have been better.. Nevertheless, I am suuuuuuuper excited for the album! I've been listening to "Parler a mon Pere" every morning for the past week!

I love the cover ... not so pretentious yet it says a lot of things about Celine Dion.
I'm not French but I will surely going to buy this album and do the things I usually do whenever I am in love with a new Celine's French song. GO ONLINE AND FIND IT'S MEANING! Oh well .. I Enjoy doing it.

Why I do hate the cover being illustrated:
I've heard many people say "Celine doesn't need to do a photoshoot for every album cover. She's not a model or an actress". That's not the problem. Image has always been an important matter in Celine's life and career. Most of us remember how she hated the way she looked when she was young, and many of us at one point felt the same way about ourselves. She did so much and worked so hard throughout the years, to change and improve her looks. And now she's finally more than ok with the woman she has become, and it's a shame she can't proudly show it off on the cover of her new album, when she has such a wonderful photoshoot done by Alix. Proof is she said it herself a couple days ago in Montreal. She said "I do love myself on these pictures. For once I love my pictures, and in the end it's a caricature on the cover. Is that a joke or what?" That's what many of us think, and it's even more frustrating to know that she, herself, feels the same way. I guess she didn't really have a say in this, and it's truly a shame.
I don't agree that the illustrations lighten up the emotions of the album. I think this cover lessens the album's credibility at first sight, but I'll do my best not to judge this album by its cover.
Plus, Aurore Hutton d'Estaing's artworks are not my cup of tea at all. Way too girlish and childish for a pop music album, even an intimist one.

Looking forward to hearing Celine's new french songs. It's been a while since her last album and this seems like the perfect timing. Album cover is fresh, creative and inspirational. Totally something unexpected, which is a good thing, considering that people have grown too accustomed to traditional. This ought to shake things up a bit.

Stop criticizing the cover of the new album. It is very irritating. I begin thinking at lots of fans buy Céline's albums only for their covers. I find it original and unconventional. After all, we are not forced to like Céline's choices. I am sure that the songs will be wonderful, as usual. It is more important, isn't?
Pouvez-vous arrêter de critiquer la couverture du nouvel album, ça devient énervant. Je commence à croire que beaucoup de fans achètent les albums de Céline pour leur couverture. Je la trouve originale et fantaisiste. Après tout, on n'est pas tous obligé d'aimer les choix de Céline. Je suis sûr que les chansons seront magnifiques comme d'habitude. Et c'est ça le plus important!

The only thing I don't like at all is the horrible front cover. It's a horrible drawing but I'm sure that the songs are going to be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just hoping that the album will be released here in Indonesia, without delay.
Maybe i'm a weirdo, but i think i like the album cover art. so fresh. good job celine's french team.

16 songs. I like it. I like it a lot.
The next month is going to draaaaag until this is released. In 2006 I was bored waiting for a new Anglophone album so I checked out 1 Fille Et 4 Types on a whim and I'm glad I did. It opened up an entirely new part of her career to me, and many of her French songs are now among my favorite Celine recordings. It also makes the delay for the English album (on which we all still want more information) a bit more bearable. I'm not nuts about the cover but I'm going to trust in it and assume that there was more thought than just "we were too lazy to do a whole photo shoot."
Can't wait to hear Sans attendre!

well it's all very good for the french speaking people but the english have to wait , we have also waited five years for a new album. we all love to her her sing and all the feeling she put's into every song. so i think we all love no matter where you live and we have all suported her.
