Léa’s Little Feet
“Les petits pieds de Léa” (Léa’s little feet) is a touching ballad from Celine’s French album ‘Sans attendre’. Marianne L’Heureux wrote the lyrics to this poignant song in her baby daughter Léa’s memory after suffering a miscarriage. The music was composed by Sophie Vaillancourt. The song asks “why won’t Léa’s little feet ever take their first step? Why won’t Léa’s little feet ever grow?” Having worked with Celine and René, Marianne L'Heureux presented them the song to get their feedback and Celine was so moved by the song that she asked Marianne if she could record it.

Re: Léa’s Little Feet
Two very touching and difficult questions, for which there are never any answers. Very beautiful song, and certainly an encouragement for anyone who has lost a child.
