On This Day...

On this day, in 1999, Celine performed her very last show of the 20th century at the Molson Centre in Montreal, Quebec. This incredible concert event not only rung in the new millennium but it also marked the beginning of her sabbatical, during which she gave birth to René-Charles. Celine's return to the world of music came with 2002's release of 'A New Day Has Come'.

Re: On This Day...
I wish I was there but at the time I was only 2 years old and may not have understood the meaning of good music like I do today.

Re: On This Day...
That concert was such an important mark in her life, with family and friends all present, the countdown to the new year, the almost ten minute applause at one point, and Rene kissing her at the stage, I can't understand why they didn't release it to DVD! It was an amazing concert

Re: On This Day...
Can you imagine, it has been 14 years already since the millenium concert, days and years really run so fast...i can still remember the thrill i had knowing that Celine is back with a new album and it was the "A New Day Has Come" that time....hayst, i've been an avid fan of Celine for nearly 18 years now and every album holds a special place in my life, every album holds a special meaning to my life's path. Celine Thank you very much, God indeed blessed me for having you in my life. Still looking forward for more years with you, at least through your albums...

Re: On This Day...
I was there! I was 16 years old and I had taken a bus "all by myself" from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Montreal just to see this show. I still get chills when I think of the "tingly" music and all the glow sticks being broken all at once as her life and career played on the screens. One of the coolest moments of my life!
Re: On This Day...
