Celine Pays Her Mother Tribute With “Celle qui m’a tout appris”

Celine’s new album ‘Sans attendre’ is a very personal album. With “Celle qui m’a tout appris”, which means “the one who has taught me everything”, Celine pays tribute to her mother Thérèse. Celine says this very touching song was a gift to her from songwriters Jacques Veneruso and Nina Bouraoui and it captures how she feels about her mother. Celine’s favourite part of the song is when she sings about how her mother is following her father’s footsteps and how Celine’s father paved the way for her mother. Celine thinks that’s a beautiful sentiment.

HOW CELINE CHANGED MY LIFE......
I had a secret dream. But I was way too scared to own it. I'm a writer, so us writer's like to hide in the back, observe, listen, write alone, remain nameless, faceless.
But I wanted to live my dream. How crazy that sounds, to chase a huge perhaps unattainable dream. I wasn't sure if I had the guts to lay it all on the line, and really go for something so big and beyond. My mom believed in my writing talent and my constant overdrive work ethic, but she knew I was too scared to believe in me. And she knew my heart wouldn't rest until I did. My mom knew how much I love Celine's work so she sent me something in the mail one day that would change me forever.
When I opened the small thin brown papered package on my front door step in the rain it was Celine's CD "Taking Chances" with a tiny little note inside with hearts drawn all over it that read "You can do it. Just take a chance. I love you, Mom."
I didn't think too much about it that day, but immediately ran to my player and put in the CD. I hung on every word, studying the lyrics, the flow, the melody, each note I had memorized. It was then, thinking over and over "taking chances, taking chances" that I decided I just had to try.... not to run from it forever. So I secretly submitted my first song called "The Woman He Sees in Me" to wearelistening.org International Lyric Writing Contest 2010 and never checked back to see the results. It was my first song and I had work and family and life to tend to. After 3 months I checked the email and came across the results. The lyric received Runner Up. Since then I have gotten numerous awards for my lyrics and we just shot our first country music video to be launched soon. It was that ONE FIRST STEP, "taking chances, taking chances, taking chances." I thank God every day that I took that chance. Since then I started a songwriting company and a new music publishing company also. Thank you Celine and Mom, for holding my hand.... as I said a long prayer, held my breath....... and jumped off the cliff into my destiny." ~Kathy

i love this song. its a song for my mom too because without her i wouldnt be here. she has taught me how to be the best person i can be and it is true i no longer need love at all because knowing that my mom is there then i am complete... thanks celine and to the writters for bringing this song to us!

I LOVE THIS SONG. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST SONGS FROM THE ALBUM. IT SHOULD BE RELEASED AS THE THIRD SINGLE.
CELINE SHOULD SING THIS SONG IN LAS VEGAS SHOWS.
