Celine On Her Way To A Full Recovery
Celine Dion received good news last week during her follow-up examination with Professor Gerald Berke at the UCLA Medical Clinic. The rest that Professor Berke prescribed allowed Celine’s vocal chords to recover from their weakened state and it is expected that she'll be back to 100% within four weeks time.
Celine is scheduled to start working with her vocal coach Dr. William Riley in two weeks and will begin recording songs for her new English and French albums sometime in mid-April. Celine returns to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas on Saturday, June 9th.
"During this recovery period, so many fans, many of whom were inconvenienced by the cancelled shows, have posted kind words of encouragement on my website. I'm so grateful for their thoughts and their support....more than they'll ever know", said Celine.
Celine’s next run of performances June 9 through August 19 will proceed as scheduled. For tickets, call 877-4-CELINE (423-5463) or log on to www.thecolosseum.com or www.ticketmaster.com keyword “Celine Dion.” Prices range from $55 to $250, not including fees. Tickets may also be purchased at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Box Office, open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For groups of 12 or more, call (702) 946-4799.

Yes, I'm happy she will have a full recovery! However, I was very disappointed when me and my husband flew all the way from Florida just to see Celine in concert and didn't even get to see her. We were already in Las Vegas when we found out that the concert was cancelled, by email no less. Getting tickets to her concert was the whole point of our trip. We are not rich people and had to save up our money to go. We flew the cheapest airline, stayed at the cheapest hotel, just to be able to go. I was so upset, as it was a life-long dream of mine to be able to see her live. I was elated when she announced her return to Vegas! 'Maybe I'll get to go see her this time', I thought. I played three of her songs at my wedding and walked down the aisle to "Power of Love"!! I absolutely love Celine!!! Oh well, I will always love her, and wish her the very best!!! Maybe I'll have another chance to go back, who knows??? Blessings and peace be upon Celine and her family!!

Perhaps there should be a poll on how many people saved for ages and ages still had to go to Vegas, and didn't even get to go to her show. There should have been an option to do at least something, maybe a tour of the colosseum, videos , anything! Nothing after people coming all over the world is very poor, I traveled 5600 miles. 15 hours and it cost the earth. Very angry. But hey I'm only a fan.

Illnesses may come and go, but (as many of these posts show) the love your fans have for you will never change. oh my god...... happy to hear that but so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddd. Since march 3, the day I was suppose to see her show with my mother I am so sad deep inside, I am crying every time I hear a song from her. I did the trip to vegas, could not change the dates, spent all that money I saved for a year, it was a christmas gift to my mother and honestly I have never been so disapointed of a trip before. Vegas without celine was boring and nothing to me........ I will never have the money to go again and that is the top of my disapointment. to know that i will not see her show ever........
good for her she is better, but to me............ i am still so frustrated.....

When I had first discovered that you were sick and had to cancel a few shows, I was concerned but I knew you pull through and be back on your feet in a few days. So I did not panic but when I found out that the Laryngitis was more serious than we thought I started to panic. I was worried about your well being, I was worried about EVERYTHING basically. I panicked as badly as I did when I found out my grandfather had to go have a triple by pass surgery on his heart last year. But I soon realized that you and my grandfather share something in common, sheer will power and strength, and the help of highly trained doctors so I knew you would be in good hands. So I relaxed, and now I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you, as is millions of other fans from all over the globe. We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you a speedy recovery! I just have one favor to ask.....Please sweetheart do not feel guilty for having to cancel the shows! We care more about YOU and your well being/health more than a performance! We would rather have you in good health than have you suffering. I was very moved to see your show on January 7th.
After the show I went to the ticket box and bought another ticket for your show on January 21.
Luckily I could buy a ticket at the third row on the aisle.
And at the second show when you were walking on the aisle, I could shake hands with you. Your hand was cooler than my hand.
I almost died. I thought I could die. The next morning I woke up at a hotel in Vegas and I felt it was like a dream.
I thought I was lucky to lead a life seiriously. "If I can continue living honestly and seriously, I can get good luck like this sometimes." I thought.
I was sad to hear you have some trouble at your vocal. But now I'm very happy to hear that you're recovering.
I hope you'll get well soon. And I want to go to Vegas this summer if I have a chance.
