Because You Loved Me

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

This is my favorite song by Celine; it reminds me of my closest friend, someone who is like another mum to me and has a very special place in my heart. The lyrics of this song describe everything, word for word, what she does for me and how much of a difference she's made to my life. Lately while I've been going through a rough patch with my own mum, she's been caring and supportive of me and makes me feel a lot less alone when things are not going so well. Love her to the moon and back xx

I love this song it has such a special meaning to me. My parents divorced when I was very young and I lived with my mom since. Up to most two and a half years ago I had to move in with my dad and grandpa for a while till my mom found a new place for us. I began to really bond with my dad than I ever did while I lived with my mom. He was there for me while I was really sick and hospitalized for days and my mom could barely stay for a few hours. It will be two years on Feb. 8th that my mom and I had a huge fight throug text messages, that she ended saying I was dead to her. It ended our relationship even though she truly regrets it. The next few months I really saw that my dad was there for me when I needed him while I lived with my mom. Even when I pushed him away cause my mom brain washed me against him. He really was the truth through the lies my mom put in my head. And my world is truley a better place because of him. I owe it him for holding my hand during hard times and believing I could graduate high school. Which I am this May thanks to him. When I played this song for him and why it's important to me he cried. This our song.

Love you, Celine, Rene, Rene-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy <3<3<3<3<3

This has been my favorite song since the first time that I heard it when I was eight years old. It reminds me of my cousin who has always been there for me when I needed her, and who has always had faith in me when no one else did. She has made me believe in myself and she is such an amazing person. I always have a hard time trying to describe how I feel about her, but Celine gave me the words when she sang this beautiful song. Thanks Celine...I love you!

I love this song and I will always love it. It has inspired me to believe in myself and to leave an abusive relationship. Thank-You very much. I look at this song as saying that GOD was my strength.

This is my favourite song and I loved it as soon as I heard it. It always reminds me of someone who is very special to me and who has supported me more than I deserve. Thanks for such great songs!

This reminds me so much of my dad before he died. He loved this song and it made me like the song too. All the lyrics are what I felt toward my dad.

I feel I can sing this to my fiance and really mean it from the bottom of my heart. I'm thinking about singing it on our wedding day.

This song was played today at the funeral of my dear friend. She had only been married for 2 short years but her and her husband loved each other beyond words. It also made me realize how much I love my husband and how much I cherish every moment I have with him.

Our daughter, Judy read this song to us (her parents) at her Wedding Supper! We were so proud & the words meant so much to us.

This song is the only song I've ever heard that could actually describe to the detail what I feel for my mum...she made my dreams come true...she was the one that gave me my wings...coz she believed in me, I am the person I am today...

This song reminds me of my father and I because he has always been there for me and has been my inspiration in everything I do. What this whole song is saying is what my father did to me. For example when i couldn't speak he spoke for me. Then he taught me how to speak for myself and now I can speak for myself.

This was our wedding song. When i first met my husband, i worked at a minimum wage job, with 3 kids and no skills. He was my strength, my confidence. He helped me to become successful, to have a career instead of just a job, to be independent, to be strong. I am everything i am, because he loved me.

This song has a special meaning for me because it reminds me of my best friend, my wife. She passed away four and a half years ago. The line that says "You saw the best there was in me" is truly what she did with me. She brought so much happiness and love into my life. She made me a better person, and I will forever be grateful. I was truly blessed because I was loved by her.

This song is the song that always helps describe one of my best friends. The first time we danced together it was to this song and everytime I hear it I think of him. I love him and I only wish the feelings are returned in the future. This is the perfect song to describe my relationship with him.

I have Spina Bifida and have to use a wheelchair to go long distances especially when I was in High School. When I hear this song it reminds me of this guy who liked me and who I liked in school because it didn't matter to him whether I was in a chair or not he liked me for who I was. Although we never got together because of my own insecurities I still think about him especially when I here this song. I still love him even though we haven't seen each other in almost 11 years.

This song is not a typical love song for a mate but such an amazing song for a parent from their child. It has been sung to parents by their children to let them know what an important part they have played in their life, and for loving them so much. I think it's really great.

This song reminds me of a guy I know that is always there for me and listens to everything I have to say. Without him, I don't know what I would do, but BECAUSE HE LOVES ME (and I love him), I can make it through the day!

My husband and I were dancing to this song at his sons wedding on New Years Eve 1997 and he said that he wanted this song at his funeral. Sadly he passed away 8 months later and yes this song was sung by friends for the 3 days leading up to his funeral many times and also at his funeral. It is very special to me and a lot of other people whose lives were touched by this very special man. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Celine for all the joy that you have bought to my life through your music and it just brings my darling closer to me when I play it.

Cette chanson, je la considhre comme icrite pour moi puisque qu'elle me fait penser ` mes parents...

I recently got married and I knew that this was the only song I could dance with my father to. It describes everything about him and all that he has done for me. He is truly the most amazing human on this earth!

This song was very special to my late partner and I. We were together for a very long time, when a stroke took his life. Prior to his passing we had both decided that we wanted this song played at our funeral when the time came. I play this song every day, and when I do I feel his presence all around me.

This song really pinpoints the way my family and friends have supported me through the years. It is a dedication to all those special people out there.

This song will always and forever be special to me, because it reminds me of my two best friends. Whenever I needed them, there were there - through thick and thin. They are like sisters to me. When I was going through trouble times in my life, they were there to comfort me. Because of that, I appreciate them and love them very much. I know that they will always be there when I need them, not matter what happens, no matter how many fights we get into. They care about me and I care about them. I am grateful for having two wonderful best freinds.

This song touched my heart, because my husband was hit by a car at about the same time this song came out. He was unable to see, or speak clearly, and relied upon me for everything before he was able to begin rehab. The accident cost us our marriage, however, I have this song to hold those memories close to my heart. Never think you have some thing for ever.

This song makes me think of my mom, who has always been there for me, and will continue to be there for me. She is the one who always pushes me forward and believes in me. She is someone I can fully trust, and this song reminds me that there is someone out there who really cares for me, and brings out the best in me.

This song reminds me of my great grandfather. I was so close to him, and he meant the world to me. When he died, I felt like I couldn't go on. Whenever I listened to this song, it reminded me of him. He would do anything for me - he would have died for me, and I would have done the same. I thought that my life would not go on without him, but it did. This song still reminds me of him - I miss him so much!

This song reminds me of the one man in my life who has always been really kind to me, and has helped me through times in my life I didn't think I could get through. He has always seen the best in me. I will love him always - I am everything I am because he loved me.

When I was 13, my Mum died, and my sister, who was 17 at the time, sang this song at her funeral. Two years later, my Grandmother died of cancer. I sang this same song at her funeral. This song means a lot to me, because it symbolizes how close my family is. It means so much to all of us, and brings back sad memories, but as my Mother would say, 'Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened!' Everytime I hear this song, I don't cry abuot the loss of family members, I smile, as I remember the great times that we shared!

This song means so much to me, because it relates to the relationgship that my friends and I had last year. We were the closest of friends, and we loved each other a lot. After the Christmas break, however, we slowly drifted apart. I will always love this song, because it reminds me of the moments that we shared together!

This song makes me think of my mom and dad, and makes me realize how incredibly blessed I am to have them as my parents. I realize how much they did for me especially now, since with my own children now, I am realizing how hard the job is to be a good parent.

Thi song reminds me of my grandmother, who raised me when no one else wanted me as a baby. My mother never cared, and neither did my father until I was older. She is not only my grandmother, but my mother and my father. Every word in this song describes something my grandmother has done for me many times throughout my life. I am forever greatful for her, and for all the faith she has put in me. I would not be who I am today if it were not for her loving me.

This song is special to me because when I was depressed, a very special person stood by me, helped me, and was my strength when I was weak. She held me up, never letting me fall, and for that I will be forever grateful. Thanks DM:)

"Because You Loved Me" will forever hold a place in my heart. It describes the relationship I have with a man in my live. He has always known and saw the best in me. He never lets me make excuses or lets me fail. He gives me the strength to handle the difficult things in life. I am forever greatful for knowning him.

This is the first song that I ever sang on stage in front of an audience that's what really began my love for singing. Celine, you're my idol!

It's a tribute to my parents, (still living) who never complained about raising my five brothers and myself. Always there for us all.

This describes perfectly how a friend of mine was brought into my life, the only one God could have sent... he has done everything for me, and I love him.
