From everyone here at CelineDion.com we wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for your continued love and support!
“O Holy Night” is a popular Christmas carol. Created in the 19th century, this song was inspired by a French poem ‘Minuit, chrétiens’ by Placide Cappeau, a poet and wine merchant. Many artists, including Celine, have recorded this famous carol. Celine’s version, produced by longtime collaborator David Foster, can be found on her holiday album ‘These Are Special Times’. In 2004, a survey revealed that Celine’s version was considered the most popular.
If you’re in Europe then spend the Holidays with Celine! Her summer 2013 concert on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City will be broadcast on several European channels:
- On Swiss channel RTS Deux on December 24 at 10:40pm
- On French channel D8 on December 25 at 8:50pm
- On Belgian channel La Une on December 31 at 10:35pm
The lyrics of this beautiful song remind us that we don’t have to wait until Christmas to show our affection towards the ones we love. Did you know that Celine is one of the co-writers of "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day", along with Peter Zizzo and Ric Wake? Find this track on her Christmas album ‘These Are Special Times’. In 2000, Christian group Avalon covered this song and singer Clay Aiken covered it in 2004! Make sure you add this song to your holiday soundtrack!
